The Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery covers the Fylde Coast and has 3 dedicated Charnley Theatres.
The Trainee will participate in the general surgical 24hr shift system of acute cover and have the opportunity to gain experience in:
- Venous cannulation and setting up of infusion
- Principles of critical care
- Catheterization of the patient
- Basic surgical skills
- Joint injection skills
- Post-take ward rounds
- Daily trauma meetings
Plus, the opportunity to attend:
