Location
Brackley is a pleasant market town situated 20 miles north of Oxford. The A43, connecting the M1 with the M40, gives Brackley excellent communications North to Towcester and Northampton, as well as South to Bicester and Oxford. We are a semi-rural practice with patients from Brackley town and the surrounding villages set within the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Premises
Our purpose-built surgery was completed in April 1994 and has been further extended since with our latest extension completed in November 2021. We have a large meeting room/library with full audio visual facilities.
Computer System
Our clinical system is EMIS Web. We have a surgery website and actively encourage our patients to use our online services.
Dispensing
Our dispensary serves approximately 3300 patients living outside Brackley.
Training
Andy Rathborne and Alexandra Davis are our GP trainers for the North Oxfordshire scheme. The whole surgery has a learning philosophy and all staff take part in teaching and learning. All partners share in the training to the benefit of both registrars and partners. We hold weekly practice educational meetings for our Primary Health Care Team.
Team
We are part of Brackley and Towcester PCN and have successfully recruited First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Care Coordinators, and a Health Coach who form part of our excellent Primary Health Care Team, along with four Practice Nurses, three Health Care Assistants, District Nurses and Midwife together with a full complement of administrative staff headed by our Practice Manager. We believe in a cohesive, friendly, team approach to patient care.
