This full day of hands-on clinical training takes place in the Simulation and Skills Centre and involves specialist practice stations, including:
- Venepuncture/Butterflies
- Prescribing
- IV Cannulation
- Blood Cultures
- Basic Life Support / A&E
- Communication
- Blood Gases
This is not a pass fail exercise, it is a familiarisation session and will enable you to identify any areas that you may require extra training. Ensuring you are comfortable with the various equipment and skills on day one of working.
