Thank you for considering Ringmead as your training practice.
We are a large, forward-thinking training environment spanning five sites across Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Owlsmoor, serving a population of over 40,000 patients. Our clinical team includes 7 GP Partners and 15 salaried GPs, alongside a well-established multidisciplinary team of paramedics, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, physician associates and mental health practitioners. This provides trainees with excellent exposure to modern general practice, where care is delivered collaboratively across a range of settings. Our size and footprint also offer experience across diverse demographics and a broad spectrum of pathology, supporting trainees to develop confidence and adaptability.
We have a strong and embedded training culture within the practice. Training is not limited to FY and ST doctors – we also support medical students, paramedic students, pharmacist trainees, nurse associates and other learners, fostering an environment where education, reflection and continual improvement are valued at every level. We are a supportive, friendly and approachable practice, with an open-door policy and a genuine commitment to pastoral support and trainee wellbeing.
Learning is supported through regular clinical meetings, alongside safeguarding meetings, end-of-life meetings and dedicated educational meetings, providing structured opportunities for shared learning, reflection and multidisciplinary discussion. We are also very supportive of audit and quality improvement activity, and actively encourage and fully support trainees in achieving their QI and curriculum requirements.
The practice offers substantial in-house clinical expertise, including frailty, end-of-life care, immunology, musculoskeletal medicine, dermatology, ENT and women’s health. We provide a wide range of enhanced services, including minor surgery, joint injections, coils and implants, community dermatology clinics and dedicated women’s health clinics, offering rich opportunities for observation, participation and skills development relevant to future independent practice.
We are also an innovative practice, recently shortlisted as finalists for Most Innovative Practice at the National General Practice Awards. We actively adopt and integrate new technologies and digital solutions to support clinicians, improve efficiency and enhance patient care, ensuring trainees gain experience of how innovation can be applied safely and effectively in day-to-day general practice. Many of our clinicians hold additional leadership and professional roles, including PCN Clinical Directors, LMC representatives and GP appraisers, giving trainees valuable insight into the wider landscape of general practice and the NHS. Dr Singh (Educational Supervisor), Dr Sachdev and Dr Virdee (Clinical Supervisors) form an experienced supervisory team within a wider GP group that is well versed in a training-focused approach, ensuring high-quality supervision and a supportive learning environment.
