Please see the following step by step guide to registering for the eportfolio written by Dr Amit Sharma (ST1 2011)
- Log onto http://www.rcgp.org.uk/
- On right hand side of rcgp homepage heading ‘Trainee Registration Open’, click this
- Takes you to AiT page, if you click on the ‘Orange On Sign’ on the top right of the screen
- Takes you to RCGP Self Service Area, click on heading ‘Doctors joining speciality training programmes’ near the bottom of page and then small heading ‘click here to register’
- Fill in your personal data including GMC number which appears on the next page
- On the next page fill in remainder of your personal details including address, click register
- Following this proceed with payment details
- After payment ensure you print the direct debit mandate form and send this off so you can pay for the subsequent 3 years. For this year payment is 146 and 220 for next 3 years.
- You should receive a confirmation via email with a receipt and several other emails, one from e-gp which is your online e-learning modules. Also you will be sent an email with your username and password for eportfolio
- Go back on to RCGP homepage and click on top right of screen where it says ‘access our eportfolios- Trainee’. Then enter your username and password from the email, you will be able to change your password and then should hopefully have access to eportfolio! Using the eportfolio is ok, it is similiar to foundation eportfolio and just needs some exploring which I am still trying to do.
