Goring & Woodcote Medical Practice is a friendly, well-established NHS training practice serving a varied patient population across two sites in Goring on Thames and Woodcote. We regularly host GP registrars for 6–12 month placements and are committed to providing a supportive, high-quality training experience within a welcoming multidisciplinary team. Trainees gain broad exposure to all aspects of general practice, including continuity of care, chronic disease management, telephone triage and home visits, while working across both surgeries. Teaching is structured yet flexible, with protected educational time, regular tutorials and easy access to informal clinical support. The practice also hosts Oxford medical students for two-week undergraduate placements, reflecting our strong commitment to medical education at all levels. The practice has two experienced GP trainers, Dr Walters and Dr Pettitt, who are actively involved in supervision and education, ensuring registrars feel well supported as they develop confidence and independence in general practice.
