What needs to happen once a Doctor in Training (DiT) has been assigned to a practice?
Before a placement starts
Evidence and photocopies of:
- Right to work in the UK (passport or permit)
- GMC registration
- License to practice (this can be checked on the GMC website)
- Medical Performers list
- CRB check
- Medical defence insurance
- Driving licence (for home visits)
- Hepatitis B status
- Resus Training
Once a placement starts
Requirements are:
- SMART card (if they don’t already have one)
- Personal information (to put on file in case of emergency)
