Bolton Structured Teaching programmes during Strike action
We are beginning to see several questions about strike action and the structured teaching programmes (STPs).
In answer to the common questions:
- Teaching runs as normal. The STPs are led/run by GPs, NHS England and NHS FT staff who are not currently on strike and are thus expected to work as normal. (This means we have to prep and plan to deliver our sessions as planned, even if there is no audience)
- Attendance will be strictly monitored on any strike days and fed back to practices for accurate recording and pay purposes. Late arrival/early departure from sessions will be marked as non-attendance without exception, in line with Lead Employer and our own local attendance policy.
- We do not record sessions for future playback for a variety of reasons, including confidentiality, session planning and data storage. Resources related to sessions are shared on the website.
