Teaching programmes Teaching Programmes Half Day & Whole Day Release All schemes run a Half-Day Release programme (HDR). This is a weekly programme of education in Scarborough held on a Wednesday afternoon. Trainees in a hospital, psychiatry or palliative care post attend teaching every second Wednesday of the month, at the Whole Day Release (WDR) session – which is a full day of teaching, delivered to all trainees, in all posts including GP practices. Courses Our Scheme runs a number of educational programmes as a spiral curriculum within the HDR/WDR programme or to enrich the HDR programme for example activities dedicated to community orientation, communication skills and planetary health.
