The half-day release course is an integral part of the training scheme and runs predominantly on Wednesday mornings.
The number of HDRC sessions each trainee is expected to attend will depend on whether they are in a hospital or community job.
Morning HDRC sessions start promptly at 9.00 and run until 12.30. Sometimes sessions will also run during the afternoons (advanced notice will be given). The majority of sessions are face-to-face in the academy of Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Some sessions are remote/ self-directed.
