Your Wednesday teaching sessions are part of the normal, paid working week and you should be present for the whole afternoon. We monitor attendance and all resident doctors are expected to attend at least 70% of their sessions. This allows for sessions that you cannot attend due to annual leave, study leave, illness, time off after night-shifts etc. Figures are proportionally reduced for trainees who are working LTFT and this is taken into account when calculating your attendance.
If you attend less than 70% of teaching sessions then your ES will be notified and an Educators Note will be added to your eportfolio. We appreciate that a variety of issues can affect your attendance. We are here to support you to successfully complete your training and if you would like to discuss any problems then please contact your TPD.
All sessions (unless otherwise indicated) are held at Sandford Education Centre, Keynsham Road, CHELTENHAM from 2-5pm. Trainees are encouraged to arrive between 1.30-2pm to network with fellow trainees.
Please inform GP Training if you are unable to attend the session for any reason.
