Every year we undertake a programme of quality control for all GP training posts – including all hospital, community and GP placements. Every placement is awarded a grade based primarily on feedback from trainees who have worked in that post. The Education Team works with any placement in need of improvement – and this process helps to ensure that our programme provides the highest quality training.
We appreciate that trainees may be hesitant about providing feedback, but we want to reassure you that all information is anonymised and handled with great sensitivity. We understand that trainees may be particularly apprehensive about raising concerns about placements where one of the Training Programme Directors works. If you have such concerns, please speak to any TPD that you feel comfortable with. Please be assured that we will take these matters seriously and will respond with tact and care.
