We will be offering 38 places on our three-year GP training rotation. Trainees will typically spend 12 months in full-time hospital posts and 24 months in general practice based posts. All hospital posts are four months in duration and are based in the West Herts Hospitals Trust and the Hertfordshire Partnership Trust. The 24 months in general practice includes one innovative post which is 50% GP and 50% further specialty training.
The ST1 year will include:
- At least eight months of full time general practice
- Four months in a GP based integrated post which will be 50% psychiatry, GUM/dermatology, rheumatology, palliative care, paediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology
ST2 year
- Four-month posts in the following: Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine; Geriatric Medicine
- ST 3 year
- Twelve months of full time general practice
