The A&E Department at Watford General Hospital is the main A&E for Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans with Hemel Hempstead Hospital having an Urgent Care Centre and St Albans having a Minor Injuries Unit.

Care of the Elderly
The Elderly Care Department at Watford General Hospital specialises in providing care and services for elderly people on a multi-disciplinary team approach. Acute admissions usually with multi-system pathology are received at Watford. There is a daily (Monday-Friday) TIA stroke prevention clinic, Falls Prevention clinic, and continence service as well as general outpatient services.

GUM/Derm – Watford
GUM Department offers, contraceptive and GUM clinics, evening walk-in clinics for the under 25s, Emergency contraception, screening, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
The Dermatology Department at Watford General Hospital provides a comprehensive range of dermatology services. All aspects of the dermatology service are housed in our Dermatology Centre. This building includes outpatient consultation rooms, nurse treatment area with 2 bathrooms, wound care/ leg ulcer management room, 2 theatres, phototherapy suite.
