Experiencing difficulty?

Effective support involves early identification, clear communication, and a tailored approach to address the underlying causes, potentially involving clinical supervisors, educational leads, or other support services.

Prompt identification of issues allows for timely intervention and support. Here at West Hertfordshire, we encourage open and honest conversations with trainees to understand the challenges they are facing.  This then enables us to develop a bespoke learning plan that addresses specific needs, which might include additional training, mentorship, or adjustments to their workload.

We hope that you will not experience any difficulties during your time with us, but if you do find your self in difficulty, please do not hesitate to reach out to your educational supervisor or your responsible TPD. Where there is a need to discuss anything further, (exam support, PSW, PHP, needing to consider seeing their GP etc) you can be referred to our dedicated lead in support for trainees, Dr Anusha Dattani.

Dr Dattani is an empathetic listener who listens without judgment and can quickly gauge what’s going on beneath the surface. We create an environment where trainees feel safe to express their concerns or uncertainties. You can also be assured that all conversations are in the strictest confidence.
