Meet the Team

Dr Mounna Gor
Training Programme Director (TPD)

I have been a GP trainer for many years and consider it a real privilege to have taken on the role of Training Programme Director since 2022. Alongside this, I work as a GP Partner in New Mills, where I remain closely involved in patient care and supporting the development of future colleagues. I am passionate about medical education and love helping trainees grow in confidence and capability throughout their training journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going for walks in and around Derbyshire.

Dr Alexandra Evans
Associate Dean (AD)

I have been a GP trainer for many years and was Training Programme Director for Central and South Manchester prior to taking on the Associate Dean role. I work as a GP partner at a practice in Stockport and have a special interest in Women’s Health alongside my love of education.

Outside of work, I am passionate about well-being activities and getting outdoors into the countryside near where I live and enjoy spending time with my two wonderful boys.

Dr Andrew Maurice
Primary Care Medical Educator (PCME)

I have been the Primary Care Medical Educator on the Macclesfield GP Training Programme for the past 7 years and love everything to do with education and development. I am passionate about all aspects of General Practice and feel privileged to have a role in facilitating trainees’ learning in what is undoubtedly the best medical career. I am the lead partner in the Middlewood Partnership – a large practice serving 35,000 patients in the northeast corner of Cheshire. Having been a trainer for the last 15 years, I’ve had the pleasure of successfully helping many GP registrars negotiate their way through their training programme.

I am also a designated lead educator for the GP School in the North West and provide additional guidance for trainees that have had difficulties meeting the requirements for completion of their training. When not working in my surgery or teaching colleagues, I enjoy a busy family life in the local area. I try to squeeze in the odd game of golf, just to maintain the stereotype of a rural GP partner, but this requires considerably more developmental activity before it can be described as wholly enjoyable!

Dr Alex Jewkes
Differential Attainment Champion (DAC)

I am the Differential Attainment Champion for the East Cheshire GP ST Programme. In this holistic role, I provide tailored support to Resident Doctors throughout their GP training.

This includes helping doctors prepare for the AKT and SCA examinations, as well as supporting those who have recently joined the NHS or are returning to training after a period away.

Dr Joanne Jackson
GP Tutor

I have been a salaried GP at Park Green Surgery in Macclesfield for the last 3 and a half years since I CCTed after GP training in Macclesfield.

My main hobbies are hiking and cooking. Within medicine I am interested in frailty and older people’s health and am passionate about the GP consultation.

Juliana Clayton
PGME Co-ordinator

I have been working as a PGME Co-ordinator and supporting the GPVTS Programme since April 2025. I’m passionate about medical education and really enjoy helping to create a positive and supportive training experience for our Resident Doctors and Educators. Being part of a team that contributes to the development of RDs and helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes is something I find very rewarding.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time with my partner and my three cockapoos, and working on creative projects at home. I also love anything that brings a bit of calm and creativity into everyday life.
