This 6 GP surgery, (3 Partners and 3 salaried GPs) is located in the heart of beautiful Boston Spa and serves a surrounding rural population. The town is much admired for its high quality cafes, restaurants and shops. We have an extended healthcare team including Nurses, Pharmacists, Healthcare Assistants supported by Care Co-ordinators and an Occupational Therapist. The practice actively supports GP Training and offers 2 training posts
Church Avenue Surgery, Harrogate
Is a large, 10 GP surgery situation on the west side of Harrogate serving both the town and rural village population. The doctor team is well supported by a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals.
Church Lane Surgery, Boroughbridge
Church Lane Surgery is a seven-partner, rural, dispensing practice, set in the attractive town of Boroughbridge. The practice serves 11,000 patients and is housed in modern purpose-built premises with all the usual facilities for contemporary General Practice, including wheelchair access and a lift.
There is a comprehensive Primary Health Care Team and also many other added facilities both NHS and Private. This is in addition to the regular disease management clinics.
Crossley Street Surgery, Wetherby
Crossley Street Surgery is a six-partner, semi-rural practice, set in the attractive market town of Wetherby. The practice serves almost 12,000 patients, and along with 4 other neighbouring practices, forms part of the Wetherby PCN. This allows the practice to offer usual NHS services, but additionally host extra services such as a Dementia clinic, Alcohol services, Care home MDT meetings, social prescribing amongst many others. The doctors at the practice also provide GP services to local prisons. There are three experienced trainers at the practice, who are all passionate about medical education. We see your training as a partnership between you and our practice. We aim to give you a broad range of experience and learning opportunities and to facilitate your development into a reflective practitioner who is confident, resilient and professional.
Eastgate Surgery, Knaresborough
Eastgate surgery is an 8 GP surgery located in the heart of Knaresborough. The practice is committed to providing the highest standard of equitable care through its provision of convenient and continuous access to a well-trained and highly motivated primary healthcare team. The surgery has been heavily involved in Harrogate GP training since the scheme infancy.
Kingswood Surgery, Harrogate
Kingswood is a 2 partner surgery located in a purpose built building close to both Harrogate District Hospital and a stones’ throw from the Stray. The practice serves patients located in central and the south side of Harrogate.
Leed’s Road Practice, Harrogate
Leeds Road Practice is a medium sized practice of 14,000 patients covering the south Harrogate area and is therefore a semi-rural practice. We dispense to approximately 2500 of these patients who live in the rural areas. The Practice splits it’s service delivery over 3 sites, with the main site being Leeds Road and satellite clinics at Pannal and Spofforth.
The practice team is made up of nearly 50 staff which includes GPs, ACP/ ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers and Healthcare Assistants. This is further supported by an extensive administrative and management team. We all have a small team of Dispensers.
The Practice has been a training practice for 7-8 years now for GP STs and is also involved in the training of medical students, Physician Associates, Nurses, Pharmacy Regs along with various healthcare support and administrative apprenticeships.We pride ourselves as being a forward thinking Practice and have representation at local GP Federation and LMC level.
Moss and Partners, King’s Rd, Harrogate
Dr Moss & Partners is a Harrogate Doctors’ Practice that has grown and developed on the principles of combining high standards of modern medical care with a personal and friendly service to patients. It provides essential, additional and enhanced services under the NHS Personal Medical Services (PMS) Contract. The practice is situated in the heart of beautiful Harrogate and has 7 partners and 7 employed GP’s. The practice has a strong training ethos and has 3 GP trainers.
Nidderdale Group Practice
We are a rural dispensing practice based in Nidderdale, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, serving a population of approximately 10,500 patients over 3 purpose-built sites. We have a long tradition of training and currently have 3 trainers at the Practice. We are a friendly team who enjoy training and helping trainees reach their potential.
Park Parade Surgery, Harrogate
Park Parade Surgery is a growing practice with a practice population of 8000. We cover an urban population in the centre of Harrogate. There are three partners and four salaried doctors.
We are a friendly team who are excited to become a training practice and welcome our first trainee. We share a building and also our nursing and administrative teams with the two other practices in our Primary Care Network (PCN). We work closely with the pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists, social prescribers and health and wellbeing coach that work across our PCN.
Spa Surgery, Harrogate
The Spa Surgery strives to create a caring environment providing safe, effective, high quality care services which meet the needs of our patients. The surgery is located within a purpose built building in Mowbray Square Harrogate along with 2 other surgeries in the PCN. We have a clinical team of 12 Doctors, 1 Advanced Care Practitioner, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants and 2 Clinical Pharmacists, who are supported by the patient services team, secretaries, pharmacy technician and administration staff to ensure our patients receive safe, high quality care.
We have a focus on education and training as an approved training practice for doctors who aspire to become GPs. We are also an award winning teaching practice for undergraduate medical students and have close links with University of Leeds Medical School.
The surgery is a forward thinking practice, involved in the development of shared services and working practices that will support new models of care and the provision of quality primary care in the coming years.
Stockwell Road Surgery
We are a 4 partner GP practice based in the heart of the historic market town of Knaresborough. The surgery prides itself in on team work, working alongside our partners are 2 salaried GP’s, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and a team of administrative staff. We also have FCP and a Social Prescriber employed as part of the PCN. Our Practice looks after the health of 7450 patients from our single site.
Tadcaster Medical Centre
Tadcaster Medical Centre has a practice population of almost 9000 and has 6 partners. It has been a training practice since 2013. It is a semi-rural practice covering Tadcaster town (with 3 breweries) and several villages. It has a beautiful river which flooded the practice and destroyed the bridge in 2015, from which both the town and practice have recovered. We have an advanced nurse practitioner and are also involved in Medical student and nurse training. We have a dispensary that dispenses medicines to one third of our patients in the villages. We have 2 trainers. We are part of a Primary Care Network with 2 other similar practices in Sherburn in Elmet and South Milford.
Thirsk Doctors’ Surgery
We are proud to work in the beautiful and historic market town of Thirsk, famous for being the home of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, the ‘Yorkshire Vet’ TV show and the famous ‘Mouseman’ furniture.
The surgery serves approximately 7400 patients, with 6 GP partners and 2 GP trainers, one of whom is also one of the Harrogate VTS Training Programme Directors. The surgery is situation in the heart of a historic market town and serves a large rural area of Hambleton from the top of Sutton Bank in the east to pretty villages in the west. The surgery strives to nurture a cohesive happy workforce and to provide patient-centred high standards of care. In addition to GP training we are involved in training medical students and Physician Associate students.
