Non-urgent advice: Transport within Cornwall
In short, public transport in Cornwall is not great. Buses tend to be infrequent with lots of stops. Taking the train is another option, however, some towns are not connected to the main trainline and the bus/train timetables tend not to be in sync. The best way to get around is by car, especially if your placements are far away.
Non-urgent advice: Transport to the rest of England
Access to the rest of the UK by train is through Great Western Railway. There are trains running from Penzance to Bristol, Exeter and London with options to connect to other services for the Midlands and the North
By air, you can travel from Newquay airport direct to London, Manchester, Birmingham, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
