The AKT is usually the first of two exams you will sit in GP training. It tests your general knowledge of primary care over 3 hours through a series of questions performed on a computer. It cannot be sat during ST1.
Preparation for this exam requires much time learning facts and how to manage various scenarios in a primary care setting.
