Across the nation, medical, nursing and allied healthcare students are responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak to enable our NHS staff to continue to go to work and save lives.
During this time, the NHS will be at its most stretched. It is anticipated that NHS staff will be working more hours, and have less time to manage their lives, especially with the upcoming closure of schools. Meanwhile, healthcare students have had placements cancelled and teaching moved online for the foreseeable future. Not yet qualified to help in a formal capacity, this gives students the time to volunteer their time to support.
This site is a directory for known networks of students across the country assisting staff with their needs. The aim is for students to help alleviate pressures on staff including, but not exclusive to: childcare; grocery shopping; and pet sitting.
