We are a small and friendly group, whose ethos is to care for the needs of individuals, in a learner-centred, GP-centered way.

In order to become GPs, qualified doctors need to apply to join a Specialty Training Programme. This is currently a 3 year programme.

The Salford and Trafford GPST is a combined programme utilising both Salford Royal Hospital and Trafford General Hospital.

Based in Central and South Manchester. The hospital component is delivered in Manchester Royal Infirmary and Wythenshawe Hospital.

The Tameside and Glossop GP Teaching Programme currently offers 25 tracks. We run separate ST1-2 and ST3 Teaching Programmes.

The Pennine scheme has an excellent mix of rural and urban practices which offers a diverse training experience like no other.

The Wigan GP Speciality Training Programme is fully integrated; highly general practice orientated; and has strong links with the locals.

In Morecambe Bay we strive to provide a stimulating, integrated & enjoyable educational programme across 3 years.

For your 18 months in primary care we have 27 GP training practices and more than 50 keen GP trainers at Wirral University Teaching Hospital.
