About the area

The Towns

Maidstone is an historic town on the River Medway with a population of 170,000. Settlement dates back to the stone age and attractions include the Maidstone River Park, which features the Archbishop’s Palace and gardens; Mote Park, a large lake with surrounding grassland and woodland near the town centre; and Maidstone Museum, a free museum that is fantastic for children with over 600,000 artefacts including a dinosaur exhibit.

Maidstone is very close the M20 motorway junctions 5 to 7, and trains run direct to London Victoria in just over an hour, or you can be in Paris in just 2h 30mins via Ashford International!

Royal Tunbridge Wells is a spa town with a population of over 55,000. It is most famous for The Pantiles, a Georgian colonnade with many independent shops, bars and restaurants. It is not to be confused with nearby Tonbridge, another historic market town where some of our training surgeries are located.

Tunbridge Wells is on the A21, which joins the M25 at junction 5. Trains go to London Charing Cross in under an hour.

The surrounding area

Both towns are surrounded by beautiful countryside, situated among the North Downs and the High Weald Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are a huge number of outdoor attractions but you are still within 40miles of London, making this an excellent area to work, live and raise a family
