All GP Trainers

If you are a Training Practice hosting GP specialty trainees 1-3 or Foundation year two trainees, you are eligible to claim a Trainer Grant for each trainee in practice. You will receive correspondence to this effect at the start of each claim period from the CPD Team.

The overlap process should be followed when claiming for the Trainer Grant if:

one GP Supervisor has two doctors in training concurrently for three months or longer

or one GP Supervisor has three doctors in training for any period of time.

Both of these include GPSTs, FY2s and I&R doctors. As a reminder no GP Supervisor can take more than three doctors in training at any one time
