Meet the TPDs

Listed below are the Mid Sussex and Brighton Training Programme Directors.

The TPDs work with KSS GP Deanery to:

  • organise and oversee local training programmes,
  • run the weekly VTS ‘Day Release’ course
  • work closely with the trainees, their Educational Supervisors and Clinical Supervisors throughout their GP training.

They have an ‘open door’ policy and ask for members to come and raise any concerns about training or difficulties.

Lara Belle, TPD Mid Sussex

I qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School just before it became Imperial and joined The Brow Medical Centre in 2003 having been a registrar for the Mid Sussex VTS. I loved the VTS too much to leave it so became a Programme Director for the Mid Sussex VTS a couple of years later. I think General Practice is the most amazing job in the world and I am passionate about education. I also have a special interest in Dermatology with weekly GPwSI clinics and regular minor ops sessions. Personally and as a practice we are very involved with CCG activities too. Outside of work I have three young children who keep me busy, entertained and harassed, and l enjoy being creative if ever time permits! Qualifications: MBBS BSc MRCGP PGcert.
