We are a modern, purpose-built practice in a semi-rural Berkshire village with a list size of approximately 8000 patients. There are 4 partners and one salaried GP and we have the benefit of district nursing and health visitor teams on site. The practice is paperless using the EMIS computer system. The practice provides specialist diabetic, asthma, coronary care and minor surgery clinics in-house, which registrars have the opportunity to be involved in throughout their training year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are abundant training opportunities for registrars, including the weekly business and clinical meetings, together with regular tutorials from the trainer, partners and other clinical and non-clinical staff within the practice. There is a well-equipped medical library and excellent audio-visual equipment to facilitate preparation for summative assessment, MRCGP and clinical presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registrars are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the practice, including home visits, duty doctor and emergency clinic sessions, preparing them for work as a GP after their registrar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
