Their hospital based equivalent is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/mrcgp-exams\/wpba\/minicex\">mini CEX<\/a>. The starting point for discussion can be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8211;  a video recorded consultation <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; an audio recorded consultation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/mrcgp-exams\/wpba\/cot-audio\">(audio COT)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8211; a consultation directly observed or listened to by your trainer eg in a joint surgery. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Consultations should be selected across a range of patient contexts and over the entire period of training spent in general practice and should include at least one case from each of the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Children (a child aged 10 or under)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Older adults (an adult aged more than 75 years old)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mental health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It is likely that more evidence will be generated from consultations with greater complexity . Your trainer will then use the COT framework to discuss your performance with you and record their observations in your eportfolio. You can use a COT mapping sheet like the one below, to demonstrate how you have covered the range of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/mrcgp-exams\/wpba\/capability-framework\">capabilities<\/a> in your COTS and upload this as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/mrcgp-exams\/wpba\/assessments\/learning-log#types\">supporting documentation<\/a> in your e-portfolio.
