{"id":357,"date":"2013-11-30T15:20:33","date_gmt":"2013-11-30T15:20:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.readingvts.org\/?page_id=357"},"modified":"2026-06-15T11:06:48","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T10:06:48","slug":"working-week-example","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/reading\/trainers\/the-trainee-in-gp\/working-week-example\/","title":{"rendered":"Working Week &#8211; example"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The following are sample timetables for both induction and normal weeks taken from one of our training practices.&nbsp; They will need to be adapted to suit your practice and your registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trainers group for the Reading and Newbury scheme have also been involed in drawing up some &#8216;check points&#8217; for RDs at different stages in training.  These give an idea of workload expected to keep &#8216;on course&#8217; to CCT and the types of activities that RDs should be doing to ensure they have the skills to manage independant practice. The check points can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2026\/06\/Is-my-RD-on-track-Check-points.docx\" id=\"http:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/reading\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/74\/2026\/06\/Is-my-RD-on-track-Check-points.docx\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ST1\/2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Useful Guidelines<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your full time trainee should have the following averaged out over 6 weeks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7 clinical sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tutorial<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 other educational sessions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8216;other educational sessions&#8217;&nbsp;can be clinics either in or out of practice, shared surgeries, observing other practice members consult, well woman clinics, courses etc etc.&nbsp;
