{"id":35,"date":"2013-11-22T01:53:45","date_gmt":"2013-11-22T01:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.readingvts.org\/?page_id=35"},"modified":"2026-02-10T11:56:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T11:56:16","slug":"day-release","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/reading\/the-scheme\/day-release\/","title":{"rendered":"VTS Teaching Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3><strong>Teaching obligations for all trainees<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>The success of your learning as and individual and as a group depends on your commitment and contribution to the scheme.&nbsp; Please ensure that you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regularly check\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/reading\/calendar\/\">website\u00a0<\/a>so that you know where and when sessions are being held<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be prepared for the topics of the day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrive on time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let us know of any absences using the\u00a0feedback and attendance form which is on the teaching calendar. Attendance is monitored and, as you are paid to attend teaching, it is a probity issue if you do not attend and have no documented reason for this.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Play an active part in the group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be respectful and supportive of each other<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare some sessions yourselves as appropriate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spend some time presenting to the rest of the group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reflect on every session and keep a log of your experiences in your e-portfolio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build all this into your PDP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give constructive feedback to the speakers, course organizers or registrar representative as required. There will be a feedback form to complete for each session<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtain a copy of Good Medical Practice for General Practice and read it!
