For further booking assistance, please contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:PDU.WX@hee.nhs.uk\">PDU.WX@hee.nhs.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3>GP Trainer Provisional \/ First Approval<\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Prospective trainer contacts their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/portsmouth\/about-us\/contact\/\">Patch Office<\/a><\/li><li>Prospective trainer completes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wessex.hee.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prospective Trainers Course&nbsp;<\/a>(6 day modular course)<\/li><li>Prospective trainer completes first assignment of PG Cert in Medical Education<\/li><li>Prospective trainer ensures Equality and Diversity certificate obtained within last 3 years<\/li><li>Prospective trainer completes<a href=\"http:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/portsmouth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/59\/2021\/04\/Approval_and_Reapproval_Report_Form_for_Trainers_-_April_2014.docx\">&nbsp;application form<\/a>, which is sent in to Patch Office<\/li><li>Practice visit completed by Patch Office<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The patch office submits the visit report to Health Education Wessex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following approval, the new trainer has a maximum of two years in which to:<br><br>a) Complete 1 year\u2019s training (if not possible within the approved two years, apply&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>for extension through patch office \u2013 see \u2018extensions\u2019 below)<br>b) Attend New Trainers Course<br>c) Complete First PG Cert Assessment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After this they have to apply for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/portsmouth\/qualified-gps\/trainer-approval-and-re-approval\/\">reapproval<\/a>, which is normally granted for 3 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3>Becoming a Foundation Clinical supervisor<\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/foundationprogramme.nhs.uk\/curriculum\/\">Foundation Programme Curriculum<\/a> sets out the framework for educational progression that will support the first two years of professional development following graduation from medical school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is to give the F2 doctor a meaningful experience in General Practice, coupled with the opportunity of<br>gaining a greater understanding of the particular challenges of primary care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Prospective F2 clinical supervisor contacts their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/portsmouth\/about-us\/contact\/\">Patch Office<\/a><\/li><li>Prospective F2 clinical supervisor completes&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/accent.hicom.co.uk\/CourseManager\/Live\/HEE\/Web\/sys_Pages\/MainMenu\/MainMenu.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fCourseManager%2fLive%2fHEE%2fWeb%2fsys_Pages%2fMainMenu%2fMainMenu\">F2 Clinical Supervisor course<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/wessex.hee.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> <\/a>(2 day course)<\/li><li>Prospective F2 clinical supervisor ensures Equality and Diversity certificate obtained within last 3 years<\/li><li>Prospective trainer completes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wessex.hee.nhs.uk\/general-practice\/gp-educational-supervisors\/gp-trainer-approvals\/\">application form<\/a>, found on the HEE website, which is sent in to Patch Office<\/li><li>Practice visit completed by Patch Office<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The patch office submits the visit report to Health Education Wessex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":0,"parent":1983,"menu_order":6,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-2000","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.0 -
