These vary widely in size, from 5,000 &#8211; 43,000 patients, and are located across inner-city Plymouth and out to market towns and villages across the South Hams and West Devon, and the coastal practices of East Cornwall.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see a list of our current training practices <a aria-label=\"here (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primarycare.peninsuladeanery.nhs.uk\/about-us\/vtschemes\/plymouth-vts\/training-practices\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><br><br>Placements in primary care are spread across a relatively large area, with some of our practices being in rural areas, which are not easily accessible by public transport.\u00a0<strong>A valid driving license is therefore highly recommended in order to commute between placements and explore the local area.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of our GP trainers and practices are expected to maintain the standards set out by the GMC, and are subject to a robust Quality Assurance process, which involves feedback from trainees, as well as regular reviews and visits carried out by the Educator Team.<br><br>One element of this is the Deanery&#8217;s annual trainee-driven Quality Panel process, which also quality assures all of our secondary care posts.
