Before undertaking extra paid work think very carefully about whether this is appropriate, the key things to consider are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Extra sessions must not compromise your training<\/li><li>Check with your medical defence organisation to ensure that you are appropriately medically indemnified for extra work<\/li><li>You must remain compliant with UK Working Time Regulations and your contract &#8211; it is your responsibility to ensure this<\/li><li>You must be satisfactorily be fulfilling all the required WPBA including e portfolio entries and assessments<\/li><li>You are not allowed to work any extra paid sessions in a GP practice, or to do GP locums, until you have obtained your CCT<\/li><li>You must declare any extra work on your form R which is submitted to the deanery each year as part of the ARCP and revalidation process<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As always, we would be happy to discuss this in more detail \u2013 please contact one of the PDs directly or Sue who can arrange a time for us to talk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"nhsuk-card__description\">In some circumstances trainees may work extra paid sessions for example as locums in A&amp;E, or sessional work to maintain [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":0,"parent":2771,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-2477","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
