In HEKSS there are a range of induction processes including corporate induction to your employing Trust, departmental induction for each placement and you will also receive an induction into the GP Specialty Training Programme by your local GP Programme Directors<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n To register online,\u00a0click here<\/a>. There is an enquiry line for AiTs (email\u00a0ait@rcgp.org.uk<\/a>\u00a0or telephone 020 7344 3078) for any registration queries.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n We recommend that\u00a0ST1\u00a0trainees visit their Educational Supervisor (GP Trainer) between 6 and 8 weeks into\u00a0ST1\u00a0for one day so that you can begin to build your relationship with your Trainer and have a personal induction to the\u00a0ePortfolio<\/a>\u00a0(14Fish) and a planning meeting regarding your overall learning needs for the programme.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n Contact your TPDs and get your rota so that you find out the\u00a0details of your first post.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Then contact that post and see exactly what is going to happen on your first and subsequent few days.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n You should receive your rotas 6 weeks before the post start date. Rota coordinator contacts are available for the Faculty Team. Please make early contact to book annual leave, study leave and advise of your working hours if not full time.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n HEKSS provide indemnity cover for you when you join the scheme. They should contact you directly with details of how to opt in. The cover is with MPS and will cover your whole training. This is mandatory. You will then be advised by your first placement specialty of your departmental induction.
