{"id":1248,"date":"2019-11-01T11:15:04","date_gmt":"2019-11-01T11:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/brighton\/?page_id=1248"},"modified":"2021-05-13T17:42:44","modified_gmt":"2021-05-13T16:42:44","slug":"gp-curriculum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/midsussex-brighton\/mrcgp\/gp-curriculum\/","title":{"rendered":"GP Curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you need to know for MRCGP <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The RCGP GP Curriculum is for doctors training for General Practice and their trainers and educational supervisors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It covers the period known as Specialty Training for General Practice: from the end of the Foundation Programme to the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It assumes GPStRs have already attained the core competencies of the Foundation Programme. The Curriculum covers a wide area and is intended to be regularly subject to revision as medical knowledge advances and the roles and responsibilities of GPs in the UK change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum has been defined as &#8220;An attempt to communicate the essential features and principles of an educational proposal in such a form that is open to scrutiny and capable of effective translation into practice&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum covers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The aims, objectives, content, experiences, outcomes and processes of your GP training<\/li><li>There is a description of the structure and expected methods of learning, teaching, feedback and supervision and<\/li><li>The knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours which you will need to achieve.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The curriculum has recently been updated and the latest version of the curriculum can be found on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/training-exams\/training\/gp-curriculum-overview.aspx\">RCGP website<\/a>\u00a0and also through your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fourteenfish.com\">ePortfolio (14Fish).<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"nhsuk-card__description\">What you need to know for MRCGP The RCGP GP Curriculum is for doctors training for General Practice and their [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":0,"parent":1313,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-1248","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>GP Curriculum - Mid Sussex &amp;
