We have a very high success and satisfaction rates across all our trainees. We place a very high emphasis on making trainees feel included and empowered as young leaders in their field from the start and aim to ensure our registrars are happy, resilient and prepared for their future in General Practice.

Tracks

Hospital Posts:

  • A&E
  • Paediatrics
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology – including 4 sessions in Breast Clinic
  • Medicine 
  • Care of the Elderly
  • Orthopaedic
  • Psychiatry

GP Plus posts (3 sessions in Primary Care related setting and 4 sessions in General Practice)

Hospice

SDEC – same day emergency care

Frailty (coming soon)

Opportunities also exist to attend local Ear Nose and Throat Clinic

All programmes will have 12 months in hospital based placements and 24 months of General Practice placements

  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology 6 months
  • General Practice 6 months

ST2

  • Care of the Elderly 6 months
  • General Practice 6 months

ST3

  • General Practice 12 months

  • Psychiatry 6 months
  • General Practice 6 months

  • General Practice 12 months
