We provide a summary for you here (including the current timetable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3>Wednesday Tutorial Programme<\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>Purpose: Wednesday tutorials are for all trainees in GP posts (both ST1s and ST2s in their first GP post, and ST3s). The focus of these sessions is knowledge, application in practice and helping you to cover a broad range of the RCGP curriculum. Many will help you with AKT and CSA preparation; others are aimed at practical everyday things, or more difficult to get to areas. They are delivered by Trainees supported by their Trainers. So, you will need to pick a date and a topic title and then liaise with your trainer on how to structure and deliver the session.  This will help you develop your teaching skills too. Knowledge is imparted in constructivist way <\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>That is, building on what they already know rather than just \u2018vomiting\u2019 information all over them. To be able to do this, one needs to figure out the trainees\u2019 starting point.&nbsp;  <\/p><p> <em>[Vico (1700s), Dewey (1938), Piaget (1950) and Vygotsky (1978)]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>2.  The focus is on the application (to real cases for instance), analysis or evaluation of knowledge <\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>Rather than a regurgitation of facts, figures, guidelines or what is written in books.<\/p><p> <em>[Bloom\u2019s Taxonomy of Learning Objectives (1956)]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>3. The trainees\u2019 experience is used<\/strong> <\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>Encouraging trainees to trainees to bring their experience and reflect on it.<\/p><p> <em>[Kolb\u2019s Learning Cycle (1984)]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>4. Learning&nbsp; with ideas, feelings and actions (Bloom\u2019s Taxonomy)<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>Encouraging trainees, where possible, to reflect in all three areas of knowledge, skills and attitudes.<\/p><p> <em>[Bloom\u2019s Taxonomy of Learning Objectives (1956)]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>5. Encouraging a&nbsp;collaborative approach to learning<\/strong> <\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>Where trainees learn from each other, as well as from you.<\/p><p> <em>[principles of Constructivism]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>6. Tying in the evidence where appropriate<\/strong> <\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>And how this evidence may be applied in practice.<\/p><p> <em>[Evidence Based Medicine, Eddy (1990)]<\/em> <\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details is-style-expander\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>7.
