The People

Our affiliated training practices are based across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire serving a varied demographic of patients. As a trainee you will have the opportunity of consulting in an environment with patients from inner city and rural areas, from a range of ethnic/social backgrounds, who speak a host of different languages giving you the opportunity to ideal experience of working as a GP trainee in a truly diverse and stimulating landscape. Our programme offers a wide range of training posts across the city’s teaching hospitals, as well as innovative community posts.

A visit to Hull and East Yorkshire is the start of a great journey. Whether walking and cycling on the Yorkshire Wolds or enjoying a city break in Hull you will have a fantastic visit.

Visit Hull and explore its historic old town heart and cultural venues. All of the city’s museums and galleries are free to enter so spend some time in the Ferens gallery or immerse yourself in Hull’s maritime history at the Maritime Museum. Take a city tour or take it at your own pace following the famous fish trail. Bring the kids and enjoy highlights like the museums quarter or a visit to the award winning The Deep.

The stunning market town of Beverley has beauty in abundance. With an awe-inspiring Minster, popular racecourse, historical buildings, vibrant festivals and small town charm, there is something for everyone.

Visit the Yorkshire Coast for the best place to see sea birds in England, at RSPB Bempton or spend time exploring the coves and open sandy beaches.
