The Profesional Support & Wellbeing Team aims to help promote trainee well-being and personal development by providing support and assistance in tackling obstacles or key transitions – professional or personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We understand how stressful and demanding working as a trainee doctor can be, as well as the effect events in our personal lives can have on us, which is why we feel offering a support service to Severn Postgraduate Medical Education trainees is crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we do<\/h3>

PSW offers a confidential, supportive 1-1 meeting with one of their experienced team to talk through your situation and come up with an action plan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are completely separate to your educational training.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the Gloucestershire Postgraduate Department, Susannah Jenkin (Susannah.jenkin@glos.nhs.uk<\/a>) is the Career Tutor.<\/p>

The requirement of this role is to talk through any aspects of a trainees career by one-to-one sessions to discuss topics like specialty choice, career change, or how to achieve better work\/life balance as well as running mock interview scenarios and delivery of career sessions to the Foundation Doctors and Core Trainees.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
