We are a friendly, well-established training practice with three GP trainers and very low staff turnover. We host resident doctors from the Wycombe and Windsor VTS schemes and aim to make your placement both enjoyable and stimulating. We have an established learning environment with resident doctors, medical students, physician associate students and pharmacy students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We aim to create a positive learning experience here at the Ivers Practice. Our staff are all very supportive towards the learning and development of all our trainees\/students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will receive a two-week induction followed by an individually tailored learning plan, with weekly protected tutorials, daily debriefs, and consistent supervision. A trainer or GP is always available for support, and we promote an open-door culture. You will be encouraged to attend clinical, practice, staff, and PCN meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The practice is based in South Buckinghamshire and operates from two purpose-built surgeries in Iver Village (main site) and Iver Heath, serving Iver, Richings Park, and Iver Heath. The area is semi-rural with excellent transport links, close to Slough, Windsor, and Greater London. Most of your time will be spent at the Iver Village surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have approximately 9,300 registered patients, four GP partners, one salaried GP, two practice nurses, two HCAs, two pharmacists and two first contact physiotherapists. We run chronic disease and specialist clinics including diabetes, asthma\/COPD, hypertension, CHD, child health, family planning, and travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our patient population is diverse, including long-standing elderly residents, Heathrow workers, commuters, a traveller community, and families from South East Asia. This provides wide clinical exposure. The practice is fully computerised and paper-light, using EMIS Web, Docman, and Accurx, and consistently achieves high QOF scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
