Sessions begin at 1400 or 1430 and most will be in the Lecture Theatre at the Education Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your training practice should ensure you are released from clinical duties by 1300 as the 4 hour structured educational session begins at 1300 and lasts until 1700. In one semester only, half of the year group will also attend the ST2 <a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/bolton\/teaching-programmes\/st2-programme\/communication-skills-training-in-st2\/\">Consultation Skills Course<\/a>, run by Julian Tomkinson. You will be contacted about this directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When teaching is not scheduled, you should use the time to complete online or other learning, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/consultationskills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TALC and Healthy English<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These courses have been developed by GP Educators in Greater Manchester and teach consultation skills and improving the use of English when consulting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elearning.rcgp.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RCGP e-learning<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/elearning.rcgp.org.uk\/course\/view.php?id=537\">RCGP Toolkits<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatewayc.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gateway-C<\/a>: Learning around cancer diagnosis and management within primary care<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.genomicseducation.hee.nhs.uk\/\">Genomics Education Programme<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.genomicseducation.hee.nhs.uk\/genotes\/primary-care\/\">GeNotes: Primary Care<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quick, concise information to help healthcare professionals make the right genomic decisions at each stage of a clinical pathway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NHS e-learning for health<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrange to attend outpatient clinics (such as ENT, Surgical Acute Referral Clinic, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Physiotherapy, Antenatal Clinic, Paediatrics, Breast Clinic etc)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You should contact clinics directly to request to join them.
