Will I have an Induction?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>We have a two week\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/induction\/\">Foundation Induction<\/a>, to enable your transition from University to working life at the Hospital to run smoothly.\u00a0 Please make a note of the Induction Programme dates before making any post Final Exam holiday plans.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details\">\n<summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"details-content-\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>When are the Pre-Employment Checks (PECS) conducted?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary>\n<div id=\"details-content-\" class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n<p>The required screening for your Foundation position is in two parts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The paper based side is done by our Recruitment team and will begin in the weeks following the allocation of the new FY1s to our Trust.\u00a0 A fair bit of these checks can be done over email, like the References, but you\u2019ll also need to attend an ID check and Occupational Health check on site at some point PRIOR to starting the Induction period in July.\u00a0 The Recruitment team will get in touch with everyone individually about this, with dates, asap.\u00a0 Please keep a look out on your email and reply promptly!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The practical side is called Clinical Skills training and is incorporated into the two week\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/induction\/\">Induction Programme<\/a>\u00a0designed to ease you into your first placement of the Foundation Programme.\u00a0 The Clinical Skills training is scheduled for Thursday, July 20.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"details-content-\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>Who is the Medical Education Team?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>We have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/meet-the-team\/\">two branches to our team<\/a>, to look after the educational and non-educational elements of the Foundation Programme.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"details-content-\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>What is the role of the Medical Education Team?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>As a team, our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/meet-the-team\/\">key responsibilities<\/a>\u00a0include delivering a quality and robust Foundation Programme to our Trainees.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"details-content-\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>What is the HORUS e-portfolio?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>Like an online, interactive diary, HORUS is used to document your learning during your two years on the Foundation Programme.\u00a0 Your e-portfolio will help you to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/learning\/\">plan your learning<\/a>, highlight areas needing extra attention and to demonstrate progression.<\/p><\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-reveal1 nhsuk-details\"><summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"details-content-\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\"><strong>Is on-site accommodation available at Blackpool?<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\" id=\"details-content-\" aria-hidden=\"false\"><p>On-site accommodation is either 2 share or 3 share fully furnished flats.\u00a0 Each resident has their own bedroom with bedding provided, but you can bring your own if you prefer!\u00a0 There are shared kitchen facilities, including cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, crockery, pans, utensils, etc, plus a lounge, bathroom and toilet facilities.<\/p><p>Please see the <a
