{"id":2023,"date":"2021-01-22T14:10:49","date_gmt":"2021-01-22T14:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/?page_id=2023"},"modified":"2021-01-26T14:00:20","modified_gmt":"2021-01-26T14:00:20","slug":"meet-the-team","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/meet-the-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the Team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3>Educational Support<\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p><strong>Directed by Dr Linda Hacking, the Trust\u2019s Medical Education Team is based in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/medical-education-centre\/\">Medical Education Centre<\/a>\u00a0and managed by Kate Stannard, with the Postgraduate Team led by Emily Croucher.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Foundation Programme is directed by Mr Alex Blackmore, Consultant Surgeon (FY1) and Dr Hanadi Sari-Kouzel, Consultant Rheumatologist (FY2), who shape the Foundation Tracks at our Trust and meet with the Trainees on a one to one basis to assess progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trish Broadhead, the&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:bfwh.foundation.education@nhs.net\">Foundation Programme Administrator<\/a>&nbsp;is your primary point of contact for any queries, not matter how big or small, throughout your two years at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a team, our key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Organise and deliver a robust and appropriate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/induction\/\">Induction Programme<\/a><\/li><li>Quality control of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/programme\/\">Foundation Programme<\/a>\u00a0teaching and training<\/li><li>Ensure Trainees experience an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/why-train-here\/\">excellent learning environment<\/a>, and the duties, working hours and supervision of trainees are consistent with the delivery of high quality, safe patient care<\/li><li>Support our Trainees to acquire the necessary skills and to achieve their curriculum needs through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/teaching\/\">teaching programmes<\/a>, effective\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/supervisors\/\">educational supervision<\/a>\u00a0and time to learn<\/li><li>Support our Trainers to provide effective support, supervision and mentorship and teaching for doctors in training<\/li><li>Provide on-site support to Trainees with educational concerns\/queries<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Medical Education Team has an open office policy and is proud to provide a significant support service to our Trainees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-quote1 nhsuk-inset-text\"><span class=\"nhsuk-u-visually-hidden\">Quote \/ Testimonial: <\/span><div class=\"nhsuk-inset-text__quote\"><p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s a place where everyone gets to know each other very quickly, and it soon feels like home.
