The\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwpgmd.nhs.uk\/educator-development\/standards-guidance\/educational-supervisor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Educational Supervisor<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0(ES) is responsible for the trainee\u2019s Educational Agreement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your ES is your first point of call for concerns or issues around your:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>portfolio<\/li><li>training<\/li><li>assessment<\/li><li>careers<\/li><li>further training opportunities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings you have with your ES will form the basis on which you explore learning opportunities and develop your career plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3><strong>Clinical Supervisor<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p><em>\u201cA trainer who is selected and appropriately trained to be responsible for overseeing a specified trainee\u2019s clinical work and providing constructive feedback during a training placement.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwpgmd.nhs.uk\/educator-development\/standards-guidance\/clinical-supervisor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clinical Supervisor<\/a>\u00a0(CS) will be responsible for supervising your day to day clinical and professional practice.\u00a0 They will support the assessment process, holding a responsibility for exposure to appropriate clinical training experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also have a responsibility to ensure your work load allows for time away to attend protected teaching as prescribed by the Medical Education Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE: A dual role may exist in some circumstances when the Educational and Clinical supervisors are one and the same person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3><strong>Foundation Programme Director (FPD)<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>Your FPD will manage and lead your Foundation Training Programme within the Trust.&nbsp; They will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be a source of advice surrounding Foundation Curriculum queries<\/li><li>Meet with you following each placement for evaluation<\/li><li>Track your training and learning progression on HORUS<\/li><li>Be part of the panel for your ARCP at the end of FY1 and FY2<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Any issues or concerns reported by your Supervisors to the Medical Education Team will be dealt with by the FPD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-quote1 nhsuk-inset-text\"><span class=\"nhsuk-u-visually-hidden\">Quote \/ Testimonial: <\/span><div class=\"nhsuk-inset-text__quote\"><p><em>\u201cI remember that at Blackpool I had the opportunity to do lots of clinical procedures and I felt well supported by senior staff.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/div><span class=\"nhsuk-inset-text__quote-attribution\"><strong>Former FY trainee<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"nhsuk-card__description\">All Foundation Trainees will be assigned an Educational Supervisor, who stays with you for both Foundation years, and a Clinical [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":0,"parent":1915,"menu_order":5,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-1989","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
