Train Here?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Known for its Pleasure Beach, amusement arcades and donkey rides, Blackpool is the quintessentially British holiday destination and the town welcomes over 11 million visitors every year.&nbsp; Add approximately 330,000 Fylde coast residents into the mix, and that\u2019s a lot of folk potentially needing healthcare\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-panel1 nhsuk-panel is-style-panel-with-label\"><h3><strong>The Trust<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>As such,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfwh.nhs.uk\/about-our-trust\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Blackpool Victoria Hospital<\/a>&nbsp;is one of the busiest hospitals in the country and forms part of the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.&nbsp; We have a strong set of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfwh.nhs.uk\/about-our-trust\/our-values\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Core Values<\/a>, underpinning our commitment to the training and development of all staff, and as a well-established teaching hospital, we are proud of our academic links to a number of universities, including Lancaster University, Liverpool University and UCLan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-quote1 nhsuk-inset-text\"><span class=\"nhsuk-u-visually-hidden\">Quote \/ Programme<\/strong><\/h3><div class=\"paneltext\">\n<p>The Trust offers 36 Foundation Year 1 posts and 36 Year 2 posts, divided between\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gp-training.hee.nhs.uk\/blackpool\/doctors-in-training\/foundation-trainees\/programme\/\">12 Tracks<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 offering trainees a wide and varying experience in all aspects of medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to hands-on experience, protected full day teaching hosted by resident Consultants and visiting professionals, is held fortnightly and mapped to the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foundationprogramme.nhs.uk\/content\/curriculum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foundation Curriculum<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, each Foundation Year 2 Track includes a four-month rotation in General Practice and the opportunity to enrol on a Lancaster University accredited Leadership course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-quote1
