Attendance is mandatory and GP Resident Doctors need to attain a minimum 70% attendance record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The format of the course is a mixture of small group work and workshop sessions. GP Resident Doctors are expected to contribute by presenting analyses of guidelines and a problem patient case based on the session topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Group work helps solve problems encountered by the all in their surgeries, as well as tackling clinical subjects from a GP&#8217;s perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Self-assessment and study of the skills of communication in General Practice are encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Course provides an Introduction to:<br>\u2022 The consultation<br>\u2022 The doctor\/patient relationship<br>\u2022 The Primary Health Care Team<br>\u2022 Practice management &amp; organisation<br>\u2022 Psychological and social medicine<br>\u2022 Clinical aspects of practice<br>\u2022 The organisation of the NHS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The content of the Course is derived from the intended learning outcome of the GP Curriculum and provides a basis for working towards success in the RCGP SCA examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-nhsblocks-nhsbutton alignright nhsuk-button\"><\/a>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":0,"parent":73,"menu_order":2,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-2103","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
